Text of Mancos Library District Ballot Question 5A

Shall Mancos Library District taxes be increased by an estimated $86,467 annually (for collection commencing in calendar year 2006) and by any additional amounts that may be raised annually thereafter by the imposition of additional ad valorem porperty tax rate of 2.5 mills (which is appoximately $1.66 per month on a $1000,000 home in 2006) to build, operate, and maintain a new library (for a total district mill levy not to exceed 6 mills), and shall the Mancos Library District be authorized to collect, retain, and spend the total prroperty tax revenue, along with all other revenues, notwhithstanding any limitation or restriction on revenue or spending now contained in article X, secion 20 of the Colorado constitution and section 29-1-301, C.R.S., or any other law?
