The library building project was re-bid during the month of June by Jaynes Corporation, the new construction firm for the project. The Board of Trustees received notification on June 26th that the total bid amount was approximately $489,000 over budget. Jaynes Corporation and the library’s architect, Dennis Humphries are currently working on ways to bring the project within budget.
The Library is continuing its fund raising efforts including the local capital campaign and grant writing to further assist efforts to meet the construction budget. Library officials anticipate the start of construction next month.
